Wash and Fold Questions

Wash and fold (also known as fluff and fold) is a service where your laundry is done for you, typically provided at local laundromats such as ours.

At Cloister Laundromat, just bring in your laundry and a friendly attendant will check in our order. First, they’ll weigh your laundry and then take note of any special instructions, detergent choices, and more before providing you with a ticket. From there we’ll take care of the rest, following your order notes. We will wash, dry, and fold everything to perfection and then notify you when it’s ready for pickup.

Our fluff and fold near Ephrata typically takes one business day to complete. For unusually large orders, our attendant will let you know if we need more time.

Our service counter is open every day from 8AM to 2PM and again from 6PM to 10PM.

We’ll hang onto your finished laundry for up to 2 weeks. We’ll keep it securely stored in our designated storage area until your arrival.

Our attendant will weigh your laundry on the scale and provide a ticket with an estimate of what your laundry will cost. When your laundry is done, we will weigh it again and charge you by the dry, finished weight for any per-pound items and then add flat fees for items such as comforters.

No, we know some laundry like bath towels will be a little damp. Our pricing is structured to account for normal dirty laundry conditions. We may charge for excessively soiled laundry such as mud-covered coveralls.

Yes, by likeness. We’ll look at the order and determine if it is best to sort it by color, material type, or care type. Some orders may be sorted by bleachable/non-bleachable especially if bleach is requested, and others might be sorted by regular/delicate cycle if specific wash temperatures are requested. Others may be sorted by towel/clothes.

We use a private label premium detergent. For a small upcharge, we can use name brands like Tide, Snuggle, and Bounce.

Heavens no! We keep all orders separate from others to avoid mix-ups, losses, and cross-contamination.

Cloister Laundromat is not responsible for any damage to clothing that stems from items being left in laundry items (Such as markers, pencils, pens, makeup etc).

You can get your laundry back as soon as the next day after your selected pickup day. When you choose your dates, you will have the option to select delivery dates 1 to 7 business days out from your pickup date.

We determine your price by the finished, dry weight of your laundry for laundry by the pound and then add the per-item fees for any flat fee services like washing comforters.

No, you do not need to be home. However, to minimize your laundry from getting lost or stolen we suggest that you designate a secure and inconspicuous location for your laundry. Be sure to note the location, describing it as thoroughly as possible, in your account, so that our driver can locate your laundry and leave it in the right place upon delivery.

Please know that we are not responsible for any losses or damage to your laundry before driver picks up and after delivery.

You can use a kitchen trash bag or any disposable bag.

For the safety of our drivers, no. All exchanges should happen outside.
